The Force of Grace Ministry (“the Ministry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Force of Grace Ministry mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App, and describes the choices and rights available to you.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, personalize, and improve the App experience.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
• Account information: full name, email address, phone number, and password (or
authentication token if you sign in via Google, Apple, or Facebook).
• Profile information: profile photo, date of birth, gender, marital status, and home church
campus/branch (optional fields, where applicable).
• Giving and donations: transaction amount, date, giving category (tithe, offering, missions,
building project, thanksgiving, partnership), and payment method details. Card and bank
details are processed directly by our third-party payment processor (see Section 4) — we do
not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Prayer requests, testimonies, and counselling requests: any text, audio, or details you
submit through prayer, testimony, or counselling forms.
• Event registrations: name, contact details, and responses submitted when registering for
events, conferences, or volunteer/ministry sign-ups.
• Communications: messages you send us through in-app support, contact forms, or feedback
features.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Device information: device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers,
and mobile network information.
• Usage data: features used, screens viewed, session duration, in-app interactions, crash logs,
and diagnostic data.
• Location data: approximate or precise location, only if you grant permission — used to show
the nearest branch, service times, or location-based event notifications. You can disable this
at any time in your device settings.

• Log data: IP address, access times, and app performance data collected automatically by our
servers and analytics providers.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
• Information from social login providers (Google, Apple, Facebook) if you register or sign in
using those services, limited to the profile fields you authorize.
• Information from payment processors confirming the status of a transaction (success/failure),
not full payment card data.
1.4 Children’s Information
The App includes a Children’s Church / Youth section intended to help parents and guardians register children for age-appropriate ministry activities. Where a parent or guardian submits information about a child (e.g., name, age, allergies, or emergency contact), this information is provided and controlled by the parent/guardian and used solely to facilitate safe participation in children’s or youth programs. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction) without verified parental consent. If we learn that a child has provided personal information without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents/guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete their child’s information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Process and record donations, tithes, and offerings, and issue giving statements.
• Deliver sermons, devotionals, event updates, and push notifications you opt into.
• Respond to prayer requests, testimonies, and counselling or support requests.
• Facilitate event registration, volunteer sign-up, and ministry enrolment.
• Personalize your experience (e.g., recommended content, nearest campus).
• Analyze usage trends to improve App performance, features, and content.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations (e.g., financial record-keeping for
donations).
• Communicate important updates about the App, including changes to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your giving history or prayer requests for advertising purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (where applicable)
Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023), the EU/UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
• Consent — for optional features such as location access, push notifications, and marketing
communications.
• Contractual necessity — to create your account and process giving transactions you initiate.
• Legitimate interest — to secure the App, prevent fraud, and improve our services.
• Legal obligation — to retain financial records as required by applicable law.
You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with:
• Service providers / processors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting
and database providers, payment processors (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave, or similar) for giving
and donations, push notification and messaging providers, analytics and crash-reporting
providers, and SMS/WhatsApp providers for communications. These providers are
contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
• Ministry leadership and staff who need access to fulfil pastoral care, prayer, or counselling
requests (e.g., pastors, prayer team, department heads), on a need-to-know basis.
• Legal and regulatory authorities, where required to comply with a legal obligation, court
order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Ministry, our members, or the public.
• Successors, in the event of a merger, reorganization, or transfer of ministry operations,
subject to confidentiality commitments consistent with this Policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including:
• Account information — for as long as your account remains active, plus a reasonable period
thereafter for record-keeping.
• Giving/donation records — as required by applicable financial and tax regulations (typically a
minimum of 6 years).

• Prayer requests and counselling notes — retained only as long as needed for pastoral
follow-up, or as you direct us to delete them.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to Section 8 and any legal retention obligations.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest where supported by our infrastructure
providers.
• Access controls limiting internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
• Secure authentication (e.g., hashed passwords, OAuth for social login).
• Regular review of third-party processors’ security practices.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Push Notifications & Communications
If you opt in, the App may send push notifications about services, events, devotionals, or giving reminders. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device’s notification settings. You may also unsubscribe from email or SMS communications using the “unsubscribe” link or by contacting us directly (Section 12).
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Restriction/Objection — request that we restrict or stop certain processing activities.
• Data portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g., location, notifications).
• Lodge a complaint — with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), or your local
data protection authority if applicable.
The Force of Grace Ministry — App Privacy Policy
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites, livestream platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook Live), or payment gateways. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before providing any information.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this Policy and applicable law (e.g., standard contractual clauses, or transfers to jurisdictions recognized as providing adequate protection).
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other reasonable means, and will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
